Ted, the only difference should be the engine mounts..the 300 and smaller trucks used the two mounts on each side of the engine block and bell housing and the truck frame. ( a four point mounting )the 400 and up used a three point mounting like the old power wagon, there was a single mount front and center on the engine and the normal two mounts on the bell housing, the 361 should have bosses on the block sides to accept motor mounts for the 383 / 440 engines. Thus you will eliminate the center front bracket and mount. The clutches should both be hydraulic so that will be no issue.
