That's probably (1969) a logical starting point, now I'm curious if those same options could be found on both the Corporate and Dana axles, or if that was the reason for going to 5 bolt axles (cost of course). Otherwise they could have dropped the half ton completely and just had the longbed/shortbed options....Of course there are some who will not buy anything but a half ton, so it was more than likely market forces that pushed the change.
