Chrysler diesel engine made in Japan?

I found a older manual (early 70's) of the Nissan SD33 engine that lists it as a Chrysler product. Interesting for anyone who might want to do a diesel conversion and keep it "brand correct". Only thing is the SD33 is only about 90 HP. and longer than a 4BT.
