I returned tonight after buying a 1941 or 42, unknown for sure which year Power wagon, weapons carrier military vehicle. Its late, sorry no pics, but I will have some soon.
In any case, I am not sure how to restor it, stock or take out all the old drivetrain and use a small/big block mopar engine as I have several sitting here.
I am 602 and the room is liited as it is, but using different drivetrain/ peddles, ect would definately help.
What is the consensus on theswe, keep them stock, or is it OK, to change the aformentioned items out and make it more road worth for driving?
And if thats the case, whats the easiest way to go about it. Small block mopar, bigblock/will it even fit, and more modern steering>? I have been into mopar muscle cars for years and am new to the P.Ws. I have always wanted one and when I saw this one I jumpred on it. It has not run in 20 years and my guess is it needs a total overhaul. But its straight and I do body and paint, so that helps.
any suggesitons or articles to check out.
