the easiest way to spot a 360 is look at the vibration dampener. It will have a counter balance on it. 360's are externally balanced. If you can see the side of the block the casting numbers will usually include the engine size ie. XXXXXXXXX-360-X . there should be a number stamped on the left just below the head gasket surface as well
