M37 bellhousing question.

Hi how does one get the bellhousing off an M37 engine? I pulled all the bolts the clutch and pressure plate. It hits on the flywheel and can't go past the alinement pins. Do I need to pull the flywheel also? Thanks in advance for any tips. Bill Ward
