I thought in the early 80's they had a Mitsubishi diesel for a year or 2. They ran good and got good MPG but didnt have any power. If I remember right Dodge was trying this setup to compete with the Chevy 6.2 diesel for the military trucks. The Chevy 6.2 ended up winning for the military. What a joke that was.
