I talked to them a couple of months ago. There's talk around of some of us joining up with them during the North American leg of their trip. While they were doing the resto work, they uncovered more severe damage then they thought they had, so the 54 needs more repair than they initially thought (sound familiar).
Being that is gonna be one hellova epic travel, they want the truck in as good condition as possible. The year postponment lets them get this done AND accume more finaces.
