I'm starting to sort out my glass. 53 FFPW. I took the windshield assy down from the rafters. Glass is good, in an excellent frame. But it is missing some of the screws that hold the two halfs together. And has one stud hole in the lower end of the center divider. No screw holes for the winder bracket. So I figure it is a military frame. I hope it is not half bondo under the old primer.
I can umm sheet metal screw the winder bracket on? Drill small holes, use a center punch to roll up the edges, so it will be stronger? Or is there a liner hidden in the paint?
Plus I plan on drilling a couple weep holes in the bottom . Wide, behind the gasket, at the lowest point before the frame bends upwards. I want to let out any seepge through the joints. Plus flood some primer inside? Whattya think?
