the W300 DRW and SRW are not the same axles.

If you measure the distance from the backing plate to backing plate, you will see that the SRW is narrower here.

Also, the axle shaft are different lengths and are not interchangeable from SRW to DRW.

The spacer is not just a spacer, it is really the hub and houses the outer bearings.

This does not have really anything to do with the original post, however, and I would not be concerned with the W500 failing because of those MegaMarties.
