"more or less" the radiator and firewall should be at the same height, in the same axis, that may or may not be parallel. Once the fenders and hood are on you can check the gaps and see which way you need to go. The radiator and firewall are parallel in a vertical line , either one may have to be raised or lowered, depending upon the line of the hood when mated with the fenders. I've seen very few that are correct, due to settling cab rubber, or rusted tabs, wear and tear etc. The arc of the lower hood and the arc of the fenders should have an even gap, as well as the gap at the front and rear of the hood. Sometimes the hood is a bit sprung from original specs and that makes it even harder to line up. Patience and thought will get it done.
