Hmmm... without trying to offend anyone... I’m somewhat puzzled by that price-tag... is it worth that much? I know, I know – "It’s worth whatever someone will pay for it." But does the fact that it’s semi-unique, make it worth more than another truck that didn’t have the frame altered?
My best friend lives in KC, he has a ’63 Corvette convertible (yes, the only year made where the Convertible is valued less than the hard top – it was the year of the Split-Window) but his car and VIN have been featured in several publications, the car is #870 made, but the engine is stamped #1,870 – it’s a documented factory mis-stamp as the engine has never left the car. (I picture some joker at GM in September of ’62, "Hey Larry – watch this... *STAMP!*... HAHAAHAHAAAAA! That’ll keep ‘em guessing!!"...) But, is it unique and worth anything more than another comparable car because of it's notoriety? Nope, it’s a very nice ’63 rag-top. Better than most, not as nice as some. Value; whatever someone wants to pay for it (but he’s not selling!).
Judd had a flat fender several years ago where someone had stretched the frame... to make a manure-spreader. Maybe he should have held onto that one...
