from how i understand it... it depends on your privacy settings on whether or not your screen name shows up. some items show bidder 1 bidder 2 etc. other items show your screen name. But I could be wrong. It's like my mom used to say the best way to avoid a disease, (like ebay) is to practice abstinence.
