Suggestions on lockers for WC

I am in the process of rebuilding my WC52. It will be for parades/reenactments etc. No real off roading but the occassional steep dirt road. I am going to go ahead and put in 4.89 gears in the rear only. Going to get rid of front wheel drive as I don't want to spend the +/- $1200 to stitch over to 4.89 on the front. I am consdiering going ahead and putting lockers on the rears. Pros and cons please? It will give me much better traction but is it worth it. Will it be less reliable? Make noise? Etc...
