Roger a DA is as stated a dual action sander which is common in bodyshops. It ossilates as it spins to sand with less chance of sanding marks from just spinning alone. Most have a counterweight that can be set to spin only. I agree there is a lot of good advice given here. Sanding is still a pain in the backside no matter how it's done. I've dealt with Autobody Tool Mart and Eastwood Company for body supplies and sandpaper. If you get a DA I use the self stick paper and look at the Dura Blocks for block sanding your primer for getting a flat surface. I use the sticky back paper in rolls with thses blocks. I'm currently blocking a Townwagon after priming to find all the little spots, sure is a lot of sheet metal.
