on the Auto Body Shop Forum. If your going to use the original paint as a substrate, you need to do a test with the primer sealer your going to shoot.
They went into great detail on the forum, but the original paint needs to be sealed/primed prior to your new paint. Its imparative that you shoot a small spot with the sealer/primer of your choice. This will prove that the original paint and your sealer/primer are compatable. If they are not compatable the original paint could lift like you applied Zip Strip. My M37 Doors were NOS with perfect paint. MP-170 was tested and found totally compatable.
