Parting out a truck for my neighbors, '70 W200 front and rear axle assys, hub to hub. I drove the truck on some backroads around my place last week, everything seemed ok and the brakes worked good. Warn locking hubs, civilian, not a big knuckle 44, has the usual grease and grime. This truck had a big block with an AT and pushed a snowplow a few times each winter. The front tires showed no unusual wear but I didn't drive it on the pavement to see how it handled. I think a person would want to go through at least the front end and check bearings etc. before going to the work of installing the axles in anything.
