Carryall voltage reg

I am starting to assemble of my 1942 WC53 carryall. I have 2 autolite 12 volt 55 amp regs. The model number on on is VRH4104 A-1 and the other is VRH4104 D-1. Serial #'s 8Y04040 and #2Z019320? ANy idea which is corrent and or woll work. Thanks in advance.
