Now I take MS (morphine sulphate) Contin, which is a little different than oxy contin, which may be why I don't have other issues???? I actually lowered the prescribed doseage myself.
To me, it was/is a Godsend. Without it, I'd be lying on the ground in the fetal position, crying, and I have a very high tolerence to pain. Still, if there was a way to be off of it SAFELY, I'd do it.
We live in a pharmaceutical society now. All kinds a pills to cure all kinds a ills. Am I addicted? Probably, but so what. I can function much better this way than what they did to me before with all that crap they gave me. Keyword, FUNCTION.
Do I recommend this course to anyone? NO! Your Bud probably got carried away with feeling good (as in no pain). Just because Joe Blow down the street abused it don't mean that Yash Shmash will.
ALL these meds out there are DANGEROUS! Even aspirin. Ya CAN'T make a blanket statement about any one drug and tell someone that it's no good. Hell, I got killed by Lipitor.
All I'm sayin is WHATEVER is perscribed, he should be CAREFUL with, and to NOT let them dump a whole crapload of em on him at 1 time. And then proceed with CAUTION.
You'll have to excuse me if I get radical on this subject, because even though it's been a while, I'm STILL tryin to recoup from what was done to me. The sad part is that I know I'm not alone.
