Radiator Advice

I took my radiator in to have it boiled out and tested....turns out the coil is bad and needs replaced. so here's the catch: they're saying it'll be about $600 to replace the coil in it.

so my question is: am i being ripped off?

i guess i also need to ask is: anyone out there have a good radiator for sale that i can use on a '47 WDX?

this "little" project is starting to add up!!
