The warranty costs are killing Ford. They spent $5,000 to repair my first year 7.3, they wouldn't replace it, even though it only had 4800 miles on it. The newer engines have proved to be even worse as Navistar struggles to keep up with Cummins and Isuzu in the HP and Torque race. Navistar engines show good numbers, but they do not last, they leak and have had a plethora of issues in the last 5 years, causing Fords most loyal customers to look elsewhere. If this new engine fails it may mean the end of both Navistar and Ford. 12.7 BILLION!?
Chrysler is in turmoil after a 1.5 billion loss, and D/C sales passed Ford in the 4th quarter......will Ford survive and should GM buy them too......
