PTO driveline route on W300

I am mounting a PTO driven LU2 Braden winch on my '68 W300. The drive line will have to run from a carrier bearing on the rear crossmember to one on the front crossmember, just below the radiator. I'm concerned about the clearance between the driveline when it's in place and the top of the front axle housing. I'm wondering if I need to have my springs rearced or add a leaf. Can anyone give me an idea how much space you have between them? Thanks, JH
