I had my 34' gooseneck today, running empty down to San Antonio to pick up a Frito truck.
While on IH 10 I came upon an early 90s Chevy Z-71, towing a 16' trailer, with a late 70s F150 Supercab aboard, with some other items and a heavy truck toolbox.
The trailer wheels were bowed in at the top because of the weight. A sign on the door of the Z-71 said "let us haul off your junk" the driver was doing about 55-60 mph and really watching his rear view, the other passengers were turned around in their seats watching the load also.
About a mile later I came upon an old 25-30' Winnebago, being towed with a bar by a newer F150, 2000ish model. As I passed him, he looked over at me and I gave hin the bitting my nails sign.
A few miles up the road, the chacanes (sp?) are in place slowing the speed down to 55, and a cop was really working over the 18 wheelers. Wish I could have been there as the Winnebago passed.
Some folks are dangerous!
