We arrived from Mexico with the M601 Sunday night after a week long trip down to Oaxaca. 3000 miles, two traffic "tickets", a small fortune in highway tolls. At one Army checkpoint the soldiers looked a little wistful - after all, the truck used to belong to them. It was a relief when the truck crossed the Rio Grande for the first time in 45 years! The US Customs guy didn't want the EPA and DOT forms I had ready, he seemed annoyed at having to deal with something out of the ordinary. "Just go" he said, so we did.
I plan on posting a "how to bring in a truck from Mexico" section on the M601 page. This picture shows me and Phil assembling the bows and seats right before loading the vehicle.
