Jerry, I'm don't know what year your truck is but I have a '57 Parts Book that covers the W500. It shows a lever w/ pin that the top of the shoe attaches to and it looks like just a clevis pin that the bottom of the shoe pivots on. I don't see a bushing anywhere.

If you give me more detail, I can try to help you figure it out, if my book even applies.
