As GD posted, this stuff is great. Use the dense ones. We use these materials on industrial cabinets containing noise generating components.
Another cheap source of sound deadener is from your local auto paint supply house. They all have those 12" square felt/tar based pads with a self adhesive back. Cut them to size and slap them inside the firewall, inside the cab in hidden areas, the roof, doors and floor panels. They are about 1/4" thick, and can be painted.
