One of the components in doing the 318 install is to add the hanging pedals and a brake booster / twin circuit master cyl. Prior to the engine swap I had the stock master cyl, drums rear and discs front. Always got good hard pedal. Now with the boosted brakes, I have a real hard pedal with the engine off and with her running the pedal goes in about 3" before firming up. There is a presure gauge on my Mico lock and it jumps up to 1000 pounds with not much effort and 2000 with a bit more push. Is this normal for the boosted twin circuit system? I have bled the system 3 times with a pressure bleeder and it seems to be about the same each time. Maybe this is how the boosted type feels and I am just not used to it.
Thanks,
Tim
