Yes, that's what I've seen too. I have one truck, a '62 Studebaker M35, with a virtually new LDT465-1D engine and transmission (the -1D is the latest and greatest multifuel), and a bed that looks like it never had anything put in it, but the cab is rusted to hell. Probably if it looks good AND drives good, it still gets picked out during screening by some county road department, fire department, indian reservation or whatever. If it looks good, but it's in the DRMO, it probably doesn't run. Of course that's where you could get lucky and it's something simple like a clogged fuel intake. Or it could have thrown a rod. They don't really want to spend any time fixing anything on these old trucks any more.
