On the subject of ffpw heaters

On the subject of heaters- i believe that there may have been 2 types; model 61 and model 62. The former only has the heater on/off switch whle the later has 2 controls speed and defrost switches. For model 61 there is a small handle on the door of the heater pipe door to deflect the heat up or not. Anayone confirm this?
