I used the bottom of an old propane cylinder that is rounded on the bottom and made a nice mount, about 3" tall with flanges that bolt to the floor. The column slips into A rubber gromet in the top which holds the column in place. The bigger size of the propane cylinder gives the universal joint a little more wiggle room for cab movement. When i was fabricating everything I thought the universal joint would have been too tight a fit inside stock steering column, even though it fits. I think it looks great and works well.
