I got it out using a combination of the suggestions. Drilled it out to 7/8. Tried to go to 15/16 but it started chipping and I was afraid I'd gouge the crank, so at that point cut a groove across it with a cape chisel. It was very brittle and well-stuck to the hole so it broke in pieces. I had to cut it in a couple other spots to get it all out. I'm not sure what they made it out of but it wouldn't bend without breaking.

Now if I can just find another one tomorrow so I can get it all put back together this weekend. I hope there are common commercial rigs that use a 3/4" ID 1" OD bronze pilot bushing so I don't have to order it form a military dealer or wait until tuesday and go to a bearing house in Spokane. I did find the specs in one of the TMs and indeed it was EXTREMELY worn out. There wasn't a spot of grease anywhere near it when I took it apart, which is probably why it was shot. I'm thinking that might even be why the tranny was making noise in high gear (input shaft not aligned right).
