At the rally I went to in 2003, I went with the group to Packwood to eat. It was good.
At this past June rally, VPW had a caterer come to the fairgrounds. They served some of the best barbequed pork chops I have ever had; they were memorable in part due to their thickness, about and inch and a half.
On other nights there was a nice dinner at a riverside restaurant in the town of Bonaparte, as well as the weiner roast on the farm.
I wonder if the "problem" is simply too many choices. I would like to see them continue the caterer based on this past June.
