After having three Dodge CTD trailer pulling trucks without one, I had one installed when I purchased my last Dodge CTD. It was a Jacobs/Mopar unit and was warranteed by Dodge.
It is the best addition you can make to a diesel truck. It was about $1000 installed. When I traded in the 2001 Dodge CTD for my Power Wagon in Feb 2005, there was no allowance for the exhaust brake so I had it removed and sold it for $600.
The exhaust brake was a great help when pulling a trailer, but it was also a great benefit when not pulling a trailer.
BTW The trailer is for sale.
