A 3/4 ton short bed Club Cab/Quad Cab has a 138.7 inch wheelbase and a Regular cab 3/4 ton has a 134.7 inch wheel base so the frames are different. You could get a 3/4 ton in either a club cab or quad cab, only 1-tons came standard with a quad cab. You are right though that they never made a 3/4 ton short bed.
