If you use Thunderbird, then you might consider different extentions. One notifies you of the country of origin. Unless you recieve an ungodly ammount of foriegn emails that you want, it might be a good option. For the few foreign emails you recieve,if any, you can add them to the safe list. There are several hundred different extentions on the site, and they are all quite small and easy to setup. Add a few of the right ones, any you should be spam free.
