No, I dont imagine it will meet or exceed its limit too often, but it would be nice to have it looking like it should. The inside layer actually has a hole about 1" square rusted all the way through, which cant be good. I don't understand how the strength is in the horizontal web, considering 90% of the forces will be in the verticle direction. Either way, will a welded patch have any adverse effects?
