Best bet would be to find the guy who has the scrap contract at your local military base, see if he's getting the "residue" trucks, and would be willing to sell you the axles. The government doesn't like the scrap guys doing this, but they seem to still be getting away with it if they keep it low key. The guy I've dealt with sells M35 parts very reasonable to guys who are working on their own military rigs, but has a considerably higher price for the rock crawler crowd. Pretty much any M35-series truck you find, no matter how thrashed, will have good axles under it, because they're built so strong. Somehow, though I don't expect this truck to go cheap. Some other Californian who'se had no exposure to MVs will see the picture and will think it'll look cool sitting in his driveway or cruising the boulevard. Other than the axles, it looks like a pretty straight truck, but I notice the blackout lights are missing and the bridge weight plate is "camo"-painted over, so there are probably a lot of other little things wrong with it as well.
