shorten or ?

I just cut my frame in half behind the cab rotten and crappy weld job.took out 14".to get to good metal. Now the question.Do I put it back together 14" shorter or find the metal to put to 126".If I leave it short whats thats do to drive angle.LOOKING FOR LOTS OF OPINIONS. thanks to all who step up
