Yes, I read that too. I also read where whatever 1/2 tons that had been built (I'm not sure of the date the 1st 3/4 tons were built/issued, but sometime in 1942) went to Navy & Marines instead of 3/4 tons as they were lower priority (fighting Hitler was #1). You forget those shipped to our troops in Southeast Asia & China then too.
Unfortunately, I'm at a loss right now as I have a ton of info on a couple of hard drives that were in my wife's old computer, which crashed. Her new one (which will hopefully be online this week) uses a whole different type HD.
Once I get that one working right, I can chance tearing into mine to try and download, and will be able to give you exact direction/info/source. Right now, I rarely make more than one trip down to the basement a day to get on my computer, which also crashed, taking much info with it. I now make back ups (2nd HD) pretty regularly as it's a real pain trying to replace lost info.
