There has been lengthy posting about this subject and someone on the sweptline forum posted a study done by the S.A.E.. In the end they used a scoring system to rate different filter types and the score of oil bath and the score of paper were about equal. In extremely dusty environments paper is likely to plug up where as oil bath cant plug up. Personaly I like the oil baths because I am cheap and don't like to by paper filters, oh and oil bath looks cool too....;')
