Both the NV-4500 and Np-205 have Male Splines.
These are connected with a Steel Drive Coupling which is available at any Dodge Parts Counter.

If you are usng a NV-4500 HD, and a 1989 to 1993 Dodge NP-205 from a Diesel truck, you will have 29 splines and need a 29 spline drive coupling. If you use a NV-4500 and a NP-205 from a Gas'er you will have 23 splines and need a 23 spline Drive Coupling
