A friend and I got chased off Cedar Mountain (south of Green River, WY) about 25 years ago when his dogs stirred up a momma moose with a brand new calf. I was ahead of Bill, and I knew I was going to die. The dogs were ahead of both of us, with momma moose in hot pursuit. Moose are the most dangerous animal you can encounter in the woods, even including grizzly.
