Well, since the bodies were all by Wayne Works I think they would all have been supplied as Ambulances - I'd be very interested in any that weren't.
Perhaps appropriate to note that on the Signal Corps own site there are plenty of images of WC 54 in ambulance colours plus Command and Carryall in the ordinary markings. No prblem to convert to 12 volt for radio use of course - just no real reason to. Reminds me of the English collector who stated categorically that he had an image somewhere of an original WC 53 Carryall with a winch.
Worth noting too that there is relatively little published material about the Dodge experimental and development work.
