Hello all
I have a 53 powerwagon, and at some point the original
engine was replaced with a D62 engine (230 cid flathead six)
out of a 56 Dodge Coronet. since this one runs, is here, and
has about 40 more ponies than the stock powerwagon engine,
I'd like to go ahead and use it for a while. The problem is
that the oil pan sump is in the center instead of in the rear
as on the powerwagon engine and bangs on the differential.
Does anyone know if the pan off a powerwagon engine will bolt
onto this engine without a lot of fuss? I realize that I will
have to move the oil strainer and maybe find or make a different
pickup tube.
