My ol'B2pw (12 volt conversion) use to fire up on the first crank almost all the time till I put the battery charger on it over night - left the aux. sitch on for a few days draining down the battery. I didn't unhook the positive terminal on the battery when I hooked up the charger. The starter spins and the alternator cranks away but no spark. I thought I burned up the alternator somehow but it checks out ok. I replaced the coil and points(looks like needlessly) and set the points at .020, the ceramic resistor runs current through it, the distributor cap has no cracks, wires look like they are in good shape, and the ground strap looks good. The electonic fuel pump buzzes away and I've primed the carb hopeing it was a fuel problem - still no nothing. It had a carb kit put in about a year ago so I know thats in good shape. I'm stumped. Any advice?
