I have a wc-51 with the original dodge combat rims with the proper 9:00-16 military NDT mounted on them... The front two are
older, but still in great shape with lots of tread and no cracks,
and still quite pliable...
On the rear I recently mounted two new ones..Brand new manufacture, not old N.O.S..
I am getting a front end "wobble", or back and forth (violent) shimmy at around 35-40 mph..The front end actually seems to
jump back and forth...
Is this due to unbalanced tires? The front end seems very tight
on this truck. AT least thru the steering...
My question: How close to balance can one get from these heavy rims and bias tires? I never had much luck having my m37 rims
with the same 9:00-16 NTD on them.. I bet the Combat rim would be a lot worse...
Should I try to balance the new ones first, and put them on the Front? OR are the older ones still balancable too?
Any suggestions on places to go to have this done?
