I'm definitely no expert at metallurgy, but we have a heat treating oven at work that I'm thinking about using to retemper the spring. I talked to some of the Welders at work, and they seemed to think it could be done. Keeping mind of course that it would only be used to get me out of the woods, for right now until I figure something else out on the suspension.
