One of my favorite references is a very small pocket book by Pratt & Whitney. I don't know how old it is, but it contains a list of U.S. aircraft manufacturers. This list is as follows: Brewster, Boeing, Beech, Curtis, Douglas, Bellanca, Grumman, Hall, North American, Bell, Martin, N.A.F., Lockheed, Pitcairn, Spartan, Sikorski, Stinson, Ryan, Stearman, Northrop, Vought-Sikorski, Vega, Vultee, Waco and Consolidated.
I was looking through it yesterday, when I heard an aircraft passing over. What a surprise I had when a bright yellow Grumman F6F passed overhead. I suspect the P&W pocket book is probably about the same age as the F6F. That really made my day.
Power Wagon content: my 9.00X16 tubes and flaps should be deilivered tomorrow so I can get better tires on my 'new' 1948 Power Wagon. A bit of brake work, and it'll be my daily driver.
