This brings up a good point.
All the manuals I've ever seen say to use a blanket or a coat to dampen the shock of a wire line breakage. I brought this up at the Hollister mud bog run when the contestants were winching the stuck eees out.
My comments were met with less than enthusiastic responces. I didn't really want to escalate the discussion as the people doing the winching were seasoned vetrans in the use of their machines.
Any comments from the brethren?
