Dan;
I use PPG Products.
My frame/running gear/underside of fenders is blasted clean with black beauty, then wiped down with PickleX 20, the shot with PPG, MP-170 Epoxy Primer, then shot with PPG, MP-182 surfacer primer, then shot with PPG Hardened MOA Chassis Black. I have never had a problem with a frame or running gear handled in this manner. Its really tough.
The Cab/body/inside is blasted clean, wiped with PickleX 20 then PPG, MP-170 Epoxy Primer, PPG MP-182 Surfacer so I can wet sand. Then I shoot PPG Omni Base Coat, followed by PPG MH161 Clear.
The Black on my trucks is satin. I use PPG 2060 Flex N Flat mixed with some MH 161 to give the satin look as top coat.
I have never had a problem.
Paul
